Minda is that rare type of recruiter who looks beyond the buzz and sees the person. She does not do what many in her field appear to do (and which, sadly, appears to be the norm) - keyword matching job placement. Using this method, candidates are thrown at jobs based mostly on keywords matches between the job description and the candidate's resume. In this approach, the burden of finding a real match between a job and the skill set of the individual lies squarely on the shoulders of the candidate and the company. To the candidate, it often feels like the recruiting agency is throwing mud at a wall in the hope that something will stick. And having been on the other side of the equation, the company often feels the same way.

Instead, Minda digs into the content of the resume. She discovers the intent behind the words and the person behind the intent. And she performs the same investigation into the employer and the position being offered....once a fit emerges, she works with both the candidate and the employer to create a bridge between their respective concerns, skills and needs. As an added bonus, Minda reads the intangibles and attempts to match the culture of the company with the values and views of the candidate. This, in my experience is unique...it leads to a job placement experience where both candidate and company feel their best interests are being served. In practical terms, it reduces friction and saves both parties time and money.

On a personal note, it was a pleasure and deeply rewarding experience to work with her. I would recommend her approach as a model for how recruiting and job placement should be. And in the end, she is simply the best recruiter I have ever worked with.
